Celebrating 15 Years of Marathi Cinema

The 15th edition of the Goa Marathi Film Festival marked a glorious milestone with three days of exceptional cinema, celebrated artists and overwhelming audience response.

The Grand World Premiere of 'Bandkhor,' directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, set the tone for a spectacular celebration. Audiences experienced a diverse selection of Marathi films, premieres, and short films. The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to veteran actor Mohan Joshi, in honour of his contributions to the Marathi film and theatre industries. The festival concluded on a high note, celebrating the richness of Marathi storytelling, the talent of its filmmakers and the enduring passion of its audiences.

As GMFF completes 15 remarkable years, it looks ahead with gratitude and renewed enthusiasm for many more years of celebrating Marathi cinema.

Vinsan World has made significant efforts in promoting the Marathi Film Industry. The Sweden Marathi International Film Festival was a successful attempt by Vinsan World to take the Marathi Film Industry internationally.

The applause and response we received for this film festival was overwhelming and we were successful in adding to the glory of the Marathi Cinema on an international platform. It was our successful collaboration with the Indian Embassy in Sweden that helped us create this platform, and we are thankful to them for all their support. We are positive that we will be having many more entertainment galas like this in the future, and put all our efforts into enhancing the success of the Marathi Film Industry.
